 Jagan Nath University, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, came into existence in May 2013 as a Private University, incorporated under the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 8 2013 approved under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and was incorporated by the Association of Indian Universities.  It is a multi-faculty university offering UG and PG programs in the areas of Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Management, Commerce, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Agricultural Sciences, Teacher Education and Professional Studies. The university has developed adequate infrastructure in the form of classrooms, laboratories, library, playground, hostel, computer centre, agricultural research farm, skill development centre, technical park and other facilities to provide quality education to the students.

Jagan Nath University PhD Admission Criteria

The university offers PhD programs in five disciplines including Management, Engineering, Law, Education and Physiotherapy. PhD programs are offered as per the latest UGC rules and guidelines in which one semester course is mandatory for Pre-PhD. This is followed by the development of a research summary on the relevant topic and the Ph.D. The minimum duration to complete a PhD is three academic years. Completion of the degree requires scholars to have published at least two research papers in refereed journals prior to submission of the thesis. A PhD is a research-oriented activity that requires the ability to identify a researchable problem, develop hypotheses, choose appropriate research tools, analytical and interpretive skills, and report writing competencies. Jagan Nath University PhD Duration

The duration of PhD is usually 3-5 years in full time and 5-6 years in part time mode. However, unlike under-graduation and post-graduation, PhD is a pure research degree. Jagan Nath University PhD Eligibility and Admission Process

Post-Graduation

Students must have at least 55% post-graduation. However, SC/ST/OBS/Specially Handicapped candidates must have at least 50% in post-graduation to apply for PhD programme. Preference is given to PhD applications for students with prior job experience in a similar field of interest.

Entrance Exam

There are some national entrance exams for admission to PhD program like CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, UGC-NET etc. However, some universities conduct their own PhD entrance exam for admission followed by an interview round.
