The West Bengal Joint Admission Examinations Board administers the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination), a state-level common entrance examination. You can enrol in a bachelor's degree programme in engineering, architecture, or pharmacy at one of West Bengal's institutions or universities. You will be able to enrol in one of the state's 104 government institutions or self-financed Engineering and Technological institutes. Following the publication of the results, you will be offered admission to the participating institutes based on your rank in a joint counselling session. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board Act, 2014, was adopted as "West Bengal Act XIV of 2014," which gave the Board the status of Statutory Body.

Eligibility
Criteria:
· All engineering applicants, with the exception of marine engineering, must be at least 17 years old. For the WBJEE exam, there is no upper age restriction.
· The lower age restriction for admission to Marine Engineering courses is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
· Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination, i.e. the '10+2' examination, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, as well as one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Computer Application, or Technical Vocational Subject, with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
· Must have received at least 45 percent (40 percent for applicants from the restricted category) in each of the three topics listed above.
· Must have received at least a 30% in English in the '10+2' test.
· The stated Qualifying Examination Board must be recognised by the Central Government or the State Government in question.

After the application procedure is completed, the authorities will give a WBJEE application form correction opportunity. Exam
Pattern:
Gathering information regarding the test structure, parts,
weightage, evaluation method, and duration is critical to passing any exam.
Multiple-Choice Questions will be included in the WBJEE 2021 test. WBJEE 2021
will include two papers: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Science) (Physics
and Chemistry combined). Those who take Paper 2 will only be allowed to enrol
in pharmacy courses; candidates who take both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be able
to enrol in Architecture, Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy courses.
Aspirants who just take paper 1 will not receive a rank.
Each paper, Paper 1 and Paper 2, will have a time limit of
120 minutes.
For category 1 of the WBJEE Exam, there will be only one
correct answer for each question; a correct response will receive 1 point,
while an erroneous answer will receive -0.25 marks.
For WBJEE Exam Category 2: Each question will have just one
valid choice; correct answers will receive 2 marks, while erroneous answers
will receive -0.5 marks.
For WBJEE Exam Category 3: Each question will have one or
more correct options; correct answers will receive 2 marks, erroneous answers
will receive 0 points, and partially correct answers will receive marks
calculated as follows: 2 x (number of marked right alternatives/total number of
accurate options).
