Several prestigious institutes, including IISc,
IISERs, NISER, and others, collaborate to organise the Joint Entrance Screening
Test (JEST). JEST 2021 was held at 37 test centres across the country by the
organising authorities, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). The
national-level entrance test was planned to be held on April 11, 2021, but has
been postponed until further notice, according to the official JEST 2021 dates,
which were issued online. Candidates were notified that they needed to pass the
JEST 2021 test if they wished to pursue a PhD or Integrated PhD degree at one
of the participating institutes in the below-mentioned tracks.

Updates 2022:
On Sunday, March 13, 2022, the JEST-2022 examination will be
held. The online application and registration site is now available. The
deadline for online application submission and payment of the application fee
is January 18, 2022. JEST 2022, also known as the Joint Entrance Screening Test
or Nationwide Eligibility Test, is a national test organised by the Science and
Engineering Research Board (SERB) every year.
Application
Form 2022:
The application cost of Rs. 800 (Rs. 400 for SC/ST male
candidates and Rs. 800 for non-SC/ST female applicants) must be paid with your
application, which may be done online. There are alternatives for debit/credit
cards as well as net-banking. The application fee for women from SC/ST
communities is waived.
Before filling out the form, please make sure you have read
the application guidelines, FAQs, and eligibility criteria for each of the
institutes' numerous programmes on their individual websites.
You will be required to submit a passport-sized photograph
and a scanned signature in JPEG format when filling out the form. Individual
photo and signature files should not be more than 100 kilobytes in size. If the
file sizes surpass the limit, you should delete them.
If the file sizes surpass the limit, you should use
compression software programmes such as http://jpeg-optimizer.com, http://www.imageoptimizer.net,
and others to reduce the file size. For the signature that will be scanned and
uploaded, please use a black ball pen. It is very recommended that you save an
identical photograph to put on the admit card if it is not printed on the admit
card.
By choosing "Save Draft," you can save and update
an unfinished form, but no changes can be done after it has been submitted
(when you click on "Submit Application" button).
Only after a successful online application fee payment will
the application procedure be deemed complete.
Exam
Application Fee 2022:

Comparison:
· The IIT JAM and JEST tests are used to determine a scientific graduate's eligibility for M.Sc. programmes such as master's in science, joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other similar programmes.
· The Joint Admission Test allows you to apply to top IITs, NITs, and IISc, while JEST allows you to apply to India's top universities and colleges.
· But you're probably wondering how they'll be different if both tests offer the identical master's programmes.
· We have presented all of the facts that distinguish both tests in terms of exam style, eligibility requirements, curriculum, and job options in this blog.
