Educational institutions are being opened in most states across the country in view of the corona infection now under control. Schools have been opened in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana today from February 01. However, educational institutions have remained closed in the capital Delhi. In the Corona Review meeting held on Thursday 27 January, all other Corona restrictions were relaxed but the decision on opening of schools and colleges has not yet been taken.
Parents and Teachers
The protest of parents and teachers is going on in the state to open schools for offline classes. A delegation of parents met Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and said that schools should now be opened without delay. Sisodia had also informed by tweeting that he is in support of the demands of the parents and is in favor of opening the school soon, but in the meeting held the next day, no decision was taken to start offline studies.
On 01 February, students and parents also demonstrated at Delhi Secretariat and ITO with demands to open the school. On social media too, there is a demand to start education in schools. In such a situation, the Delhi administration can decide to open the school-college in the next corona review meeting. The meeting can be held on or before 05 February.
Schools and colleges can be opened with any other relaxation in restrictions. It is possible that classes should start with the condition of mandatory compliance of the rules of Corona SOP.
